This course walks you through a progressive approach to setting up your brain and body for optimum sleep. For some, starting with the first phase may be all that's required to start getting the sleep you've always dreamed of. For others, especially those suffering from insomnia for years, more progressive and intensive methods may be required. No matter how long or difficult your sleep struggles have been, there are answers in this course to help you solve these sleep problems!
The information and techniques taught in this course are based off the most well studied treatment for chronic insomnia - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, or CBTi. Additionally, tools such as thought work, relaxation techniques and supplement therapy are based off of the most current evidence for promoting sleep onset and extending sleep duration.
This course is designed for those with primary insomnia - difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up too early. This is different from secondary insomnia - difficulty sleeping due to a primary factor (such as a medical condition or environmental disturbance). Occasionally, the lines between primary and secondary insomnia may become blurred. In this case, these techniques are likely beneficial for you! If you have any questions, you may always consult your medical provider to see if Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia techniques are a good option for you.
In general, these techniques are safe. For certain medical conditions - such as obstructive sleep apnea, heart disease and alternate sleep disorders (narcolepsy) - some of these conditions may not be safe. Additionally, it is not recommended to implement Sleep Restriction Therapy if you have certain occupations (airline pilots, construction workers, truck drivers, etc). If you take medications, it is recommended to discuss with your medical provider prior to starting any new supplements.
If you follow the course timeline, the average length for the full program take roughly 12 weeks.
Poor sleep degrades the quality of your life. Start improving your sleep tonight for better, healthier tomorrows for years to come.
